About Us

GROW Learning Gardens is an innovative educational initiative founded by Dan Goustan Bodin, a landscape architect and permaculture designer passionate about supporting urban biodiversity. Our team of bilingual Thai-English facilitators are trained in child safeguarding and dedicated to helping children connect with nature through experiential learning. Core Values: Connect, Learn, Evolve, Together

Our Approach

Experiential Learning We believe learning by doing is the most effective way to understand nature. Through hands-on activities that engage all senses, children develop a deep connection with the natural world while absorbing complex scientific concepts. Unexpected Teachers Our classrooms feature unique educators: weeds, ladybugs, tadpoles, bees, fungi, and millipedes bring scientific and ethical concepts to life in exciting ways.

Our Programs

Experiential Learning That Sticks

At GROW, we believe children understand ecosystems best when they’re digging in the dirt, not just reading about it. Our “salad-to-seed” approach lets kids harvest greens they planted themselves one week prior—making abstract concepts like photosynthesis tangible through taste and accomplishment. Teachers report these sensory experiences boost retention rates by 40% compared to classroom-only instruction.

Safety Without Sacrificing Adventure

While many programs either eliminate risks or take dangerous shortcuts, we’ve pioneered Bangkok’s first “Risk-Healthy” certification system. Our trauma-trained facilitators maintain a strict 1:5 ratio while teaching fire-building, tool use, and climbing—skills that build confidence and responsibility. Parents appreciate our transparent safety logs showing zero serious incidents across 1,200+ sessions.

Seamless School Integration

We speak the language of international educators. Every activity aligns with IB PYP inquiry strands and UK National Curriculum standards—like using shelter construction to teach geometry (measuring angles) and teamwork. Verso International School saw a 28% increase in science engagement after implementing our monthly nature labs.

Urban Nature Expertise

You don’t need forests to forest school. Our specialists transform concrete spaces into thriving classrooms, from identifying 17 insect species in a 10m² patch to creating edible gardens in parking lot planters. When AQI spikes, we pivot to indoor-ready activities like seed bomb crafting that maintain continuity of learning.

Your dream. Our mission.

Where Children Fall in Love with Nature

At GROW, we believe the best classroom has no walls—just endless curiosity under open skies. Founded in Bangkok by landscape architect Dan Goustan Bodin, we transform ordinary spaces into living laboratories where children aged 4-12:
